Blue Bridge Detour - February 26 to March 5

This coming week, the State Highway Department will be putting a detour in place on the Falmouth side of the approach to the Blue Bridge (KY 22 East). Time period for the detour will begin at midnight on Sunday, February 26 until midnight on Monday, March 5.

KY 22 East in Falmouth will be closed to through traffic between Main Street and Barnes Street. All traffic will be detoured via E. Shelby St and Barnes St. 

The closure is needed to complete a vital piece of the city of Falmouth’s sewer system necessary for the new bridge construction. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is encouraging motorists to plan accordingly and find alternate routes if possible.
