Pendleton County Industrial Development Authority

“Serious About Creating New Jobs”

Organization
The Pendleton County Industrial Development Authority (PCIDA) is a public, non-profit organization created in March 1993 by the local county government in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The PCIDA serves as the economic development agency for the communities of Butler, Falmouth and Pendleton County, Kentucky.

Purpose
The primary purposes of the PCIDA are:

  • Acquire and develop commercial and industrial properties
  • Attract new businesses and industries to Pendleton County
  • Retain and expand jobs of existing businesses and industries

To accomplish these purposes the PCIDA may employ a staff, hire consultants, engineers or other professionals; and may borrow funds, enter into construction contracts or conduct a variety of other related activities.

Office Information
The general offices of the PCIDA are located in the Community & Economic Development Center, the Citizens Building, 135 West Shelby Street, Falmouth.

Public/Private Partner Funding
The PCIDA may receive funds from several sources. These include, but are not limited to, the local governments, local and regional financial institutions, regional utility companies, state and federal grants and loans, land sales and private contributions. The following entities, through generous community investments, are the members of the PCIDA public/private partnership:

Board of Directors
The PCIDA operates as an independent quasi government agency that is governed by a six-member board of directors appointed by the local county government. The PCIDA Board of Director members serve as community volunteers. Two four-year term appointments, or re-appointments, are made in April of each year. Board of Director Meetings
Meetings of the Board of Directors are every third Thursday of the month at 7:00 a.m., in the Industrial Authority Board Room of the Community & Economic Development Center, the Citizens Building, 135 West Shelby Street, Falmouth. All meetings of the PCIDA are open to the public.

Administrative Staff
The Industrial Authority employs one administrative staff person. Jack Wright serves as the Executive Director.
