Course Description:
The purpose of this course is to provide local emergency management officials with the skills and knowledge they need to operate and manage an Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Topics to be discussed include: designing the EOC, managing the EOC, preparing to operate the EOC and implementation of SOPs.
Student Criteria:
This course is open to all local and state emergency management personnel, elected officials and EOC staff designated in the county emergency operations plan.
EOC staff that has never attended EOC training will find this course especially useful and are encouraged to attend.
Instructions:
1. Application deadline is Monday, June 14. In case of cancellation, students will be notified. 2. Maximum 30 students. 3. Class hours are 0830 hours to 1600 hours 4. Hour for hour EM credit will be given for a completed course (no partial credit) 5. Students who complete the entire course of study and pass an exam and will receive a certificate of course completion. 6. There are no course fees. 7. No state travel reimbursement for this course
