County Zoning
The Pendleton County Planning Commission spent over a year in the creation and development of the attached Zoning Ordinance. Public hearings along with public input assisted in the development of this ordinance. After the Planning Commission passed on the draft ordinance, the Pendleton County Fiscal Court spent more than six months in reviewing and studying the zoning ordinance. The fiscal court made some minor changes which were approve by the Planning Commission on May 19, 2008.
The Pendleton County Fiscal Court unanimously passed the ordinance on June 24, 2008 at 7:00 PM in the courthouse community room. The zoning ordinance became effective July 1, 2008. Zoning permits may be acquired at the "Planning Office" on the second floor of the Citizens Building, 135 Shelby Street, Falmouth, Kentucky. The phone number for this office is (859) 654-1108.
The zoning ordinance is administered by the Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission (Mike Ionna) along with local assistance from Pendleton County native Brian Thompson.
The Pendleton County Fiscal Court and the Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission will be as understanding as possible in their administration of the ordinance over the next several months.
